The Bachelor of Technology in Insurance from Taniform University Institute Bamenda (TUIB) prepares students to pursue a wide range of careers in the field of Insurance, including obtaining opportunities in private and public organizations, and a wide range of IGOs and NGOs in the capacity of professional insurance agents, insurance managers, insurance consultants etc. It offers students a chance to deepen their understanding of the changing nature of today’s world while developing the necessary skills to advance their careers.
The HND program in Insurance at TUIB is fully designed to produce graduates with a firm grounding in Insurance fundamentals. It is geared at equipping students with a good understanding of key insurance principles and products, the disciplines of underwriting and claims and overall application skills.
The B.Sc. program includes course-work that covers the fundamentals of Business Studies, Insurance Practice, and Research.
Our curriculum ensures that graduates emerge with a comprehensive perspective on Insurance. During the course of the program, students are exposed to a good number of practical and industrial experience, seminars and conferences to blend the theoretical phase of their study.
Accreditation: TUIB Cameroon’s Higher National Diploma (HND) in Insurance is highly accredited and issued by the by the Ministry of Higher Education Cameroon.
The Thesis
A thesis on a particular topic of your choice in the field of Insurance (with a supervisor’s approval) will be completed and defended by each student in the last semester. There is considerable scope in the choice of subject areas by student and the research method employed. Each student is allocated a supervisor who guides them through the thesis.
