ORIENTATION

The responsibility of the organization and governance of Taniform University (TU) rests with the president / chairperson. TU’s directors exercise responsibility for the establishment of the basic policies that govern all TU campuses, and meet on a regular basis with other members of the administrative core to review the implementation of these policies. The administrative body is primarily concerned with the academic quality of the institution, and regularly review data that allow them to ensure that the institution meets the needs of the students and serves the public interest of the communities in which it is located and the global community.

TU’s ADMINISTRATION

The authority to administer TU has been delegated by the President to the professional staff of academic administrators that TU has retained for that purpose. The President (also called Vice-Chancellor) of TU has the responsibility for ensuring that the institution achieves its mission through the effective and efficient management of its financial, human, and academic resources. The President is charged with overall responsibility for the administration of TU, including the implementation of board policy at all campuses. Assisting the President in these activities is the Director who appoints Deputy Vice Chancellors, Registrars, Deans, Heads of Department. Holders of these offices share responsibility for the administration of a number of key functions, including fiscal and property management, financial aid, student recruitment and services, information systems, institutional research, marketing, and development.

PROGRAM ADVISORY COUNCIL

Schools and programs within TU have advisory boards, consisting of professionals from the associated fields and alumni. The advisory boards meet at least annually to discuss issues such as the curriculum of the concerned program and community involvement. They also provide valuable feedback to the program faculty and staff regarding current trends and expectations within their respective professional communities
