The Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting from Taniform University Institute Bamenda (TUIB) prepares students to pursue a wide range of careers in the field of Banking and Finance, including obtaining opportunities in private and public organizations, and a wide range of IGOs and NGOs in the capacity professional bankers, cashiers, managers, loan officers etc. It offers students a chance to deepen their understanding of the changing nature of today’s world while developing the necessary skills to advance their careers.
The HND program in Banking and Finance at TUIB is designed to produce graduates with a comprehensive knowledge and thorough understanding of Business Operations of Banks and Financial Institutions. This should place the graduate in management positions in the Banking and Finance Industry. The program contributes adequately to the production of quality, honest and dedicated management manpower for Banks, Financial Institutions, Commerce, Industry, and Private and Public enterprises.
The HND program includes course-work that covers the fundamentals of Business Studies, Banking Practice, and Research.
Our curriculum ensures that graduates emerge with a comprehensive perspective on Banking and Finance. During the course of the program, students are exposed to a good number of practical and industrial experience, seminars and conferences to blend the theoretical phase of their study.

The Thesis
A thesis on a particular topic of your choice in the field of Banking and Finance (with a supervisor’s approval) will be completed and defended by each student in the last semester. There is considerable scope in the choice of subject areas by student and the research method employed. Each student is allocated a supervisor who guides them through the thesis. The primary raisondetre is to assimilate and blend the theoretical and practical elements of the academic program of study.
